Construction progressing at Caulfield Village

Sarah Forbes, Development Manager at Caulfield Village and Project Manager Boris Pisarevski have been very busy so far in 2018, overseeing the initial phases of construction at Caulfield Village. Together, they deal with the day-to-day construction overview, working closely with the development team at Probuild and also ensuring there is a smooth transition for the works with a range of external stakeholders, like Glen Eira City Council and the utility companies. But all the hard work is worth it when they see the cranes go up on the site and the concrete starting to pour.

“We’re seeing the three tower cranes up, so it’s all systems go at Caulfield Village. Very soon residents will start to see the structure come out of the ground and that makes the whole development seem real,’ said Boris Pisarevski.

The construction phase for Caulfield Village is progressing on time and to plan, the current key focus for the team is to complete the carpark slab and in-ground drainage.

“We’re really happy with progress so far on site and also the progress made with Probuild and the design team to finalise documentation.”, said Sarah Forbes.

In the past few months a series of important behind-the-scenes infrastructure improvements have taken place to accommodate the progression towards construction, including sewer and water upgrade and electricity supply for the area. One of the other new works to be soon completed will be additional road upgrades to be co-ordinated with VicRoads and Glen Eira City Council, which will ensure better traffic flows in the future for all residents.

Even more exciting will be the early stages of construction of the new Boulevard which will form part of Caulfield Village’s south-eastern boundary, which eventually will include Caulfield’s first ever Town Square.
